Project Description
Deer HUB Syndicates
– Join our Deer Management Teams –
Deer HUB Syndicates are a key part of our overall service offerings that benefit both landowners and deer stalkers alike. Wild deer are a highly valued part of our natural heritage and are increasing in number and geographic range in the UK. Deer are a natural asset and integral to our countryside. At the same time these positive values need to be balanced against the considerable negative impacts deer often have on agriculture, forestry, woodlands and the wider environment.
Therefore, deer need to be carefully managed and culled. This helps keep the UK deer population at a sustainable level, maintains a healthy population and reduces the negative impact deer have on agricultural crops and our treasured woodland and forestry environments.
Effective Deer Management
The Deer HUB offers recreational stalkers the opportunity to get actively involved in effective deer management through our ever-growing network of syndicates operating across England, Wales and Scotland.
Our syndicates are highly organised and professionally managed. All syndicates have a deer management plan, and a deer population assessment (often with a managed annual deer count). Landowners benefit from receiving an annual report detailing the number of stalk visits, deer species and numbers seen per stalk and number of deer despatched. This service provides landowners with a solution to a longstanding problem that can now be redressed.
Because of the number of syndicates we operate, we can cater for deer stalkers of all abilities. All stalkers are assessed by our team and categorised as beginner, intermediate or advanced. We then offer stalkers suitable syndicate land which is commensurate with their physical fitness, experience and skill level. For deer stalkers wanting to improve their skills, we provide courses and training, exclusively available through the Deer HUB and our team of professional deer managers.

FAQ’s
Syndicate members have access to our Stalking app which gives provides accurate maps with clearly marked boundaries, parking and extraction points. The app also provides data on where deer have been seen and the number of deer dispatched over the year.
It depends on the syndicate. Some require you to simply have a level of deer stalking experience (assessed by our team), others require DSC1 (or other proof of training such as our Foundation Skills course) and some require DSC1 + 2. Beginners who have an FAC may join some of our Deer Stalking Syndicates, but may be restricted to shooting only in high seats.
Deer stalkers are required to signup to one of our Membership Plans. Then each deer stalking syndicate is priced individually and costs vary depending on the acreage, deer species and facilities available, such as extraction equipment or chillers/larders.
Deer stalkers are able to stalk unaccompanied and at a time, location and day that suits them.
Yes, all syndicate members are required to have shooting insurance of their own. Deer HUB staff will advise on suitable insurance schemes available.
Should a syndicate member find themselves in difficulties of any kind, we have a dedicated phone number and a member of our team will be on hand to offer advice or come and assist. All syndicate members are tracked in real time via our stalking app which means we know the exact location of a member at any time.

We carefully balance the number of deer stalkers depending on the acreage, deer density and the number of deer being culled in line with our targets as set out in our deer management plans.
